Privacy Policy

This document sets out who processes the personal data of users of the aeloapp.io website and the Aelo app, for what purpose, on what legal basis and for how long. It also explains which rights you can exercise and how to do so.

Data controller

The data controller is Aelo Prosta Spółka Akcyjna (a company currently being incorporated), with its registered office in Bielsko-Biała, ul. Montażowa 3, 43-300 Bielsko-Biała.

What data do we collect?

Contact form

  • first name and surname
  • email address
  • company name, if provided
  • subject and content of the message

Account in the app

  • email address and password in encrypted form
  • brand name and details provided in the brand settings
  • the brand’s website address
  • billing details for paid plans

Newsletter

  • email address
  • date and time of registration

Technical specifications

  • IP address
  • browser and operating system type
  • pages visited on the website
  • input source

Objectives and legal basis

We process data for the following purposes:
  • A reply to a message sent via the form. Legal basis: consent, Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR.
  • Account management and service provision. Legal basis: performance of a contract, Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR.
  • Accounting and financial records. Legal basis: legal obligation, Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR.
  • Sending the newsletter. Legal basis: consent, Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR.
  • Statistics, security and protection against claims. Legal basis: legitimate interest, Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.

How long do we retain data?

  • Information from the form: up to one year since the last contact.
  • Account details: for the duration of the contract, and after its termination, for the period during which claims remain valid.
  • Accounting records: five years from the end of the year in which the tax liability arose.
  • Newsletter: to withdraw consent.
  • Technical data and logs: up to twenty-four months.

Who we share data with

Data may be transferred to organisations that support the operation of the website and the app:
  • hosting and server infrastructure provider
  • payment provider for paid plans
  • provider of a system for sending emails and newsletters
  • an accountancy firm specialising in accounting documents
  • providers of analytical tools
Each of these entities processes data on the basis of a data processing agreement and only to the extent necessary to provide the service.

Processing in AI models

Aelo sends queries to language models regarding market categories and brands. These queries do not contain any personal data relating to app users.
The data you enter in the brand settings is used to build a set of queries and is not passed on to model suppliers in a form that allows for the identification of an individual.

Transfers outside the European Economic Area

Some of the tool providers we use are based outside the European Economic Area. In such cases, the transfer is carried out on the basis of standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission or a decision confirming an adequate level of protection.

Permissions

In relation to the processing of your personal data, you have the right to:
  • access to data and to receive copies of it
  • correction of incorrect data
  • data erasure
  • restrictions on processing
  • transfer of data to another data controller
  • objection to processing based on a legitimate interest
  • to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal

This policy may be updated, for example, when a new feature is added or the tool provider changes. The effective date is shown at the top of the page. We notify users with an account of any significant changes by email.
