Brand aliases
One company, a dozen or so entries
The model treats each of these variants as a separate string of characters. Including them in the Brand Identity means that they all count as mentions of your organisation.

Questions about brand aliases
What are brand aliases?
These are the different forms of the name under which models may refer to your company: abbreviations, the name without a legal form, reversed word order, the name written without spaces, the former name and the foreign-language version.
Why point them out?
This is because the model compares strings, not entities. Unless you specify variants, some mentions of your company will not be counted in the result.
Where do you enter them?
In ‘Brand Identity’, under the brand settings after registration. We explain this in the article How to describe a brand on Aelo.
Is it worth entering the former name?
Yes. After a rebrand, models retain their old name for a long time, as it still appears in catalogues and reviews. Typing it in shows how many mentions are associated with the outdated name.
