Synapsis: what Aelo knows about your brand
Synapsis is Aelo's memory of your brand. It collects everything the system has learned from your website, scans, conversations with advisors, content from Studio and implemented tasks. The advisors, Studio and reports use this knowledge, so the fuller it is, the more accurate the recommendations.
The knowledge graph
The centre of the screen is taken up by the knowledge graph. Each dot represents a piece of information about the brand, and the lines show the connections between them. The colour of each dot indicates the source of that information.

Where the knowledge comes from
Above the graph there is the Knowledge originlegend. The sources are:
- Indexed by Aelo: the pages of your website.
- Your declaration: data from Brand identity.
- From Advisors: remembered conversations with advisors.
- Monitored keywords.
- From Studio: content prepared in Studio.
- From AI citations, from competitor analysis, from the audit and from Recall: scan results.
- From implementations: tasks completed in Tickets.
Refreshing knowledge
The Refresh knowledge It reloads your page. You can also see the date and time of the last refresh next to it. Synapsis and the audit both use the same page load for 24 hours, so manually refreshing the page during this time will not reload it.
How brand knowledge grew
The Show how it grew button and the slider below the graph show how the graph changed over time. Below the graph is the counter How your brand knowledge grows: the total number of knowledge items, a chart of their growth and how many pages of your website we indexed at the start.
Next to it is a breakdown by type: GEO scans, citations, competitor analyses, audits, Advisors memory, implementations and content. Every scan, every piece of content and every conversation with an advisor goes to Synapsis.
How to grow your brand knowledge
- Complete the brand identity, including the Additional brand facts section.
- Turn on Remember this conversation in Advisors.
- Create content in Studio.
- Complete and publish tasks in Tickets.

Why Synapsis matters
Every recommendation in Aelo is only as good as the data behind it. Synapsis brings together what your website says, what you declare in Brand identity and what the scans show. An advisor who knows your implementations and results will not suggest a task that has already been done, and will refer to your competitors.
Your declaration versus your website
The “Your declaration” colour is the data entered in Brand identity, and “Indexed by Aelo” is the content downloaded from your website. When the two sources say different things, for example the website describes old services, it is worth fixing the website first. AI chats read your website, not the Brand identity in Aelo.

When to refresh knowledge
- After a bigger change on your website: a new offer, new pages or a pricing change.
- After publishing content prepared in Studio.
- No more than once a day: for 24 hours Synapsis and the audit use the same download of your website.
FAQ
From your website, Brand identity, scans, conversations with advisors, content from Studio and implemented tasks.
Synapsis and the audit use the same download of your website for 24 hours. Another refresh during that time does not download the website again.
The advisors in Advisors, Studio and the reports use it, so answers and recommendations fit your brand.
The colour of a dot shows the source of the information. The Knowledge origin legend is above the graph.
No. Brand identity is your declaration in Aelo, while Aelo downloads and indexes your website content separately. They have different colours on the graph.
After a bigger change on your website or after publishing new content, no more than once a day.
