Content brief
Contents
A brief is a concise description of the content task: the topic, the aim, the intended audience and the points the material is to cover. It is drawn up before writing begins, not whilst writing is in progress.

What does that mean?
What distinguishes a brief from a topic?
The topic sets out what the text is about. The brief specifies which question it is to answer, for whom, in what order, and what it must not contain. This distinction determines whether the material can be used as it stands or whether it needs to be revised.
At Aelo, a brief is developed based on an assessment: an enquiry where the brand performs poorly, and the barriers identified in the latest scan. As a result, the copy addresses a question that is actually being asked, rather than one conjured up at a desk. The materials are compiled by the module Studio.
FAQ
Questions about this concept
The questions most frequently asked in connection with this concept.
How does a brief differ from an outline?
The brief outlines the purpose and requirements of the material, whilst the outline sets out its structure. The outline is drawn up on the basis of the brief.
Who writes the brief at Aelo?
You can write it yourself or ask the Editor, one of the four advisers. Speaking to an adviser deducts AeloCoins from your balance.
Does the brief guarantee that the model will quote the text?
No. It increases the chances, because the content directly answers the question, but whether it is featured depends on the algorithm and the competition for that particular search term.
Turn measurement results into specific briefs
To start with, you’ll receive 250 AeloCoins, without a card. That’s enough to start the measurement and test the modules. Once you’ve used them up, you’ll switch to a paid plan. The tasks from the first scan will show you what’s worth writing about first.
