Studio: how to create content from briefs

Studio helps you prepare content that has a chance of getting into AI chat answers. You work on briefs: each brief is a topic with a rationale, and from a brief you generate ready text in a chosen style and tone.

Studio tabs

At the top there are the tabs Content, Graphics and Advertising. The Video tab, however, is marked as coming soon. This article describes the ‘Content’ tab.

The brief list

On the left there is a list of briefs. Each has a priority (for example MEDIUM or HIGH) and a status, for example Pending or Done. Above the list you filter the briefs: All, To write, In production and Done. What’s more, the search engine helps you find a specific topic.

You can create a new brief in several ways:

  • With the Generate brief at the top of the list. You can see the cost in AeloCoins on the button.
  • From the Brand analysispanel on the right: next to keywords under GEO gaps: weak AI visibility click Create brief. However, for phrases that already have a brief, you will see “Created”.
  • From the Missing topicssection, also with the Create brief button.
  • From the Ticketsboard, with the Create button on a task.

Content gaps These are phrases in which AI chatbots do not yet mention your brand. That’s why they’re a good starting point for new content.

How to generate an article

  1. Click a brief on the list.
  2. Review the Insights tailored to the brand: brand voice, USP and target audiences, and competitors. They come from the Dossier.
  3. Check the title and description of the brief. You can also edit them before generating it.
  4. In the Generate article panel on the right, choose the article style and the tone of voice.
  5. Click Generate article.

Styles and tones to choose from

The style decides the form and length of the text:

  • Blog post: 1200–1800 words.
  • Social media post: 50–200 words.
  • Newsletter: 400–700 words.
  • Press release: 400–600 words.
  • Product description: 150–300 words.
  • How-to guide: 600–1200 words.

You can choose from six different tones of communication: formal, factual, casual, humorous, inspiring and sales-oriented. However, it is best to match it to the tone of voice as set out in Brand identity.

What language the content is written in

Studio writes in the brand's primary language, set in Brand identity. Finished content also goes to Synapsis, so the advisors and later reports know what has already been created. For advice on writing text that AI will want to cite, ask Aelo Strategist in the Advisors module.

How to choose the style and tone

  • Blog post or how-to guide: when you want to answer in depth a question customers ask AI chats.
  • Product description: when the brief is about a specific offer or service page.
  • Press release: when a task from Tickets is about an off-site publication, for example on a local portal.
  • Social media post and newsletter: when you want to spread the topic further, after the main text is published.

Choose your tone primarily based on where the content will be published. A press release usually calls for a formal or factual tone, whilst a social media post can be more informal.

How to prepare text that AI will cite

AI chatbots are more likely to quote websites that provide specific facts: figures, prices, the scope of services, definitions and answers to questions. That’s why, once the text has been generated, it’s worth reviewing it and adding information that only your company knows: examples, results and project names. You can read more about the differences between writing for search engines and for AI chatbots in the article SEO, GEO and AEO: the differences.

What next with the finished text

  1. Review the text and add your own examples.
  2. Publish it on your website or in the place named in the task.
  3. On the Tickets board, click Publish on the related task and enter the publication address.
  4. Next, check the result in AI Visibility after the next scans.

You’ll find completed briefs in the ‘Completed’ filter. To delete a brief you no longer need, simply click the cross next to it.

FAQ

Where do the briefs in Studio come from?

From GEO gaps and missing topics in Brand analysis, from tasks in Tickets and from the Generate brief button.

How long will the article be?

It depends on the style: for example a blog post has 1200–1800 words, and a social media post 50–200 words.

Can I change the brief topic before generating?

Yes. You can correct the title and description of the brief after opening it, before clicking Generate article.

What language does Studio write in?

In the brand's primary language set in Brand identity.

Which style should I choose for an off-site publication?

Usually a press release. For directories and profiles a shorter text in the product description style is enough.
