Thanks to them, you can see in <a href=\"https:\/\/aeloapp.io\/en\/help\/ai-visibility-scan-results\/\">AI Visibility<\/a> It\u2019s not just whether the model mentions you, but also who they recommend instead of you and how often. You can open the \u2018Identity\u2019 section by clicking the cog icon next to the brand name in the brands menu, in the top-left corner of the panel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For a new brand, the \u2018Competitors\u2019 section is one of the steps that follows selection <a href=\"https:\/\/aeloapp.io\/en\/help\/keyword-selection\/\">keywords<\/a>. We describe this in the article <a href=\"https:\/\/aeloapp.io\/en\/help\/how-to-add-a-brand\/\">How to add a brand in Aelo<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-jak-wpisac-konkurenta\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to enter a competitor<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Expand this section <strong>Competitors<\/strong> and fill in the fields:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Competitor\u2019s name<\/strong> (compulsory): as customers are familiar with it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Domain<\/strong> (optional): a competitor\u2019s website address, for example firma.pl. This helps to identify the competitor even if the model only provides a link.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Variants of the name<\/strong> (optional): abbreviations, alternative spellings or names without a legal form, i.e. <a href=\"https:\/\/aeloapp.io\/en\/knowledge\/dictionary\/brand-aliases\/\">aliases<\/a> competitor. Thanks to them, Aelo won\u2019t miss any mentions written differently.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can add another competitor by clicking the button <strong>Add competitor<\/strong>. It\u2019s better to list a few relevant competitors than a long list of companies that simply operate in the same sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Good candidates are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>companies that customers compare you with before making a purchase,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>brands that are already appearing in AI chat responses to your queries,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the leaders in your category, even if they\u2019re bigger than you.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not sure who to enter? After the first scan, check in <a href=\"https:\/\/aeloapp.io\/en\/help\/ai-visibility-scan-results\/\">AI Visibility<\/a>, which brands and models are mentioned most frequently. Changes take effect from the next <a href=\"https:\/\/aeloapp.io\/en\/knowledge\/dictionary\/full-scan\/\">full scan<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you change the competitors, the comparison with previous months will relate to a different group of companies.
